Materials and Specifications

One positioning awl with a black walnut wooden handle and a silver metal taper. Approximate uncapped overall length is 4.45 in (113 mm), made up of a 2.36 in (60 mm) handle and 2.09 in (53 mm) metal section. The relatively blunt metal end is intended for positioning and enlarging pre-punched holes rather than punching new holes through leather. Metal grade is not specified. Natural wood grain and shade vary.

What Is Included

One walnut handle positioning awl and one translucent tip protector. Leather, thread and other styling accessories are not included.

Use and Care

Use only light hand pressure on a supported leather piece, keeping fingers clear of the metal end. Start with an existing hole rather than forcing the point through solid leather. Wipe clean and dry after use, refit the tip protector and store away from children. Avoid soaking the wooden handle.
